But what response to the question will there be?*

"Away with the whims of governmental administrators, their socialized projects, their centralization, their tariffs, their government schools, their state religions, their free credit, their bank monopolies, their regulations, their restrictions, their equalization by taxation, and their pious moralizations!"
Frederic Bastiat
All of which could be annulled by the introduction of direct democracy with a tad of 'referism'.

And the problem with my solution is..........?

* Assuming of course anyone understands the principles of direct democracy and 'referism'?

Yes, and that is why the Ruling Elites will not agree. What do you do when the Ruling Elites refuse to discuss the matter ? Most Britons simply acquiesce and slink away

TT: Good question - I do believe that the day is not far off when something will happen to bring the people out on the streets - it may be lack of fuel (oil), it may be lack of energy (power cuts). When that happens it will open the door to other subject being raised.

I don't disagree WfW, Power must be seized, it is rarely given away
